Sargent & Lundy attended Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage Conference, March 19-22 in Nashville, Tennessee

March 19-22, 2018 Danielle Flagg of Sargent & Lundy presented on Carbon Capture Sequestration Application and Considerations on Existing Coal-Fired Power Plants, co-authored by Raj Gaikwad and Emily Kunkel, all of Sargent & Lundy. The presentation covered potential design and operating considerations of a carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) system on existing coal-fired power plants. It highlighted the parameters that need to be evaluated for utility consumption, as well as balance-of-plant impacts and permitting considerations. Additionally, order-of-magnitude capital and operating costs will be presented for implementation at existing facilities.
